5 Keys to Boost Productivity and Eliminate the Tendency to Put Off Tasks

Do you often have the tendency put off tasks? How many tasks do you accomplish each day? Can you call yourself successful at getting stuff done? Can you accomplish the tasks you impose upon yourself?

If not, then you should read this short article. It will guide you to eliminate procrastination and boost your productivity. Here’s how:

1. Create the task of the day
Start with simple tasks and gradually raise the difficulty and complexity. Many people start by creating the task that is too big for them in their first try. That’s why they prefer to lie down and do nothing. They know that they can’t accomplish their tasks.

So, when creating the task of the day, start with simple, achievable tasks that you can accomplish in that day. If this is your first try, don’t start with too many tasks. One or two would be enough. This will help you to boost your productivity and eliminate procrastination easily.

2. Start your day with exercise

Do you exercise regularly? If not, you better do it. Regular exercise can help your mind and body to keep moving and avoid idleness. It will keep your body warm with motivation and eagerness to work for your tasks.

In order to boost your productivity, it is good for you to start your day with exercise. As soon as you wake up, take some deep breaths and jog around for some time. You don’t need to exercise full workout. Just 15 minutes in the morning is enough to warm up your body.

3. You are not required to achieve perfection

When I was a student, I think every task should be done in the most perfect way. I think that I must achieve A for all my tasks. But, soon I realize that this is a wrong mindset. I don’t need to achieve perfection to accomplish my task. I just need to work on it, finish it, and fix it later.

Many people procrastinate because they think that they can’t accomplish the task perfectly. You must eliminate this kind of wrong mindset. Realize that you are not required to achieve perfection in order to finish your task. Once you’ve done this, you will have much better productivity.

4. Think about the End Result

Once you’ve got the tendency to lie down and procrastinate, this trick might help you. You can think about the end result once you accomplish your task. What will you get once you manage to finish your task? This should be a powerful motivation for you to increase your productivity.

Instead of thinking about how hard the task will be, think about what you will get once you accomplish the task. Your mind will be energized with more power to accomplish the task if you apply this simple mind trick.

5. Eliminate the Fear of Failure

Why many people choose to procrastinate instead of completing their task immediately? The answer would be: many people have fear of failure in their mind. They are afraid that their efforts will go to waste and they get nothing.

Obviously, the fear of failure can disturb your productivity. It can lead you to procrastinate on your task. Therefore, you need to eliminate this fear from your mind if you want to accomplish your task immediately. By eliminating fear of failure from your mind, you will have better productivity and enthusiasm.

Those 5 keys can really unlock your efficient productivity. Now, what you need to do is to use those keys.

Now go get some stuff done!
