Meditation - How to Begin?
A very effective, natural process by which we can improve our mind’s health and restore its peace and kill feelings like depression, constant feeling of fear and regret usually of the past deeds, fear about the future and also losing of focus and attention is meditation.
There are many reasons why meditation is practiced all over the globe. They are reduction in stress, improving creativity, pain management, raising consciousness, enjoying mental peace, filling energy and body in soul, mental clarity, to heal through emotions, develops a spiritual feeling, clear mental issues and disparities.
There are two types of meditation generally, first is concentration meditation and mindfulness meditation. In concentration meditation, a particular object is taken and all the attention is directed towards that object. The object can include anything visualizing any object or saying a word repeatedly. Usually people who practice this listen to some song, breathing tip, reciting a mantra or also pay all attention and concentration on a single picture or image so by using these mediums, a person can use these mediums and try to focus your attention. In mindfulness meditation, a person has to put more efforts than done in the concentration meditation. Through this medium an individual observes deeply and in seclusion how his own mind works and responds and the other feelings that takes place inside the mind.
Meditation is not so difficult to start and any normal person can begin this process. But it is important that research is done and the whole process is clear. Also a person should see the results after having start with the meditation process.
TIPS FOR STARTING OFF WITH MEDITATION:
1. In order to start meditation, it is important for a person to seek a secluded corner, preferably an airy one so that it becomes easy to breathe, and then start with breathing in and out; taking long breaths and counting till ten until you release it. This makes a person release his stress and depression.
2. Your position before starting meditation should be very comfortable and relaxing. The place should also be quiet and free from all noises so that there are fewer chances of disruption and diversion. Usually, people who meditate sit in a position. A person should not be in a fidgety position.
3. Mediation process should last for at least ten minutes and the more you meditate the more relax you become.
4. Any mantra or phrase that bring you soothe should be recited and used as a visualizing object. It can do wonders.
